Shivarajkumar
and
Ramya
starrer
Aryan
promises
to
offer
something
new
for
Kannada
film
lovers.
The
movie
will
have
a
virtual
stadium
with
crowd
stimulation,
which
is
a
first
for
any
Kannada
movie.
The
movie
is
based
on
sports
and
therefore,
it
was
necessary
to
use
latest
technologies
to
make
it
look
realistic.
A
Bangalore-based
firm
is
said
to
have
done
the
graphics
for
the
movie.
While
talking
to
a
leading
daily,
Giridhar
Gopal
from
the
firm
said,
"A
60-member
team
of
roto
artists,
compositors,
3D
moulders,
animators
and
matte
painters
worked
on
creating
a
virtual
stadium,
crowd
simulation
and
multiplication
of
more
than
70,000
people
inside
the
stadium.
There
are
two
such
scenes.
One
is
a
National
Games
race,
which
is
a
four-minute
scene.
And
then
there
is
the
climax
race
at
the
South
Asian
Federation
Games,
which
clocks
eight
minutes."
The
firm
has
previously
worked
on
Bollywood
movies
such
as
Bhaag
Milkha
Bhaag
and
Chak
De!
India.
Giridhar
said
that
the
Aryan
team
was
very
professional
in
their
working
style
and
that
it
was
a
pleasure
working
with
industry
stalwarts
such
as
Shivarajkumar
and
Ramya.
Giridhar
first
approached
Dr.
Rajendra
Babu,
but
due
to
his
untimely
death,
the
plans
got
delayed.
However,
Chi.
Gurudutt
assured
them
full
co-operation.
Further
talking
to
the
newspaper,
he
said,
"We
were
first
approached
by
Dr
Rajendra
Babu
sir.
Unfortunately,
we
lost
him
midway
through
the
film.
Chi.
Gurudutt,
who
took
over
then,
ensured
that
nothing
would
be
compromised.
Shivarajkumar
also
took
interest
and
he
was
one
of
the
driving
forces
behind
the
computer
graphics.
He
oversaw
every
shot,
and
made
his
suggestions.
When
we
saw
him
in
those
scenes,
he
literally
was
in
the
skin
of
his
character,
looking
very
athletic.
The
same
can
be
said
for
Ramya,
who
looked
every
bit
of
a
professional
athlete."
