Film
makers
in
Kannada
film
industry
have
a
few
locations
in
which
is
frequently
used
for
shooting
inside
Karnataka.
The
mines
in
Bellary
and
locations
around
Bangalore
and
Mysore
are
the
hot
favorite
for
the
directors.
Rarely
do
the
directors
shoot
the
movie
in
Belagavi
and
that
too
at
the
Maharashtra
Border.
Puneet
Rajkumar's
new
movie
Ranavikrama
chose
to
do
a
portion
of
its
shooting
at
the
border
village.
The
border
village
in
Belagavi
has
always
been
under
the
scanner
due
to
demands
by
pro
Marathi
group
to
join
Maharashtra.
Dr
Rajkumar
and
a
few
others
had
once
celebrated
the
Independence
day
at
Gokak
to
instill
the
Kannada
pride.
But
rarely
would
these
village
see
the
presence
of
any
Kannada
film
stars.
November
10th
the
film
crew
of
Ranavikrama
decided
to
do
some
shooting
at
the
border
village,
and
they
were
surprised
by
the
response
they
got
from
the
people
in
the
area.
Hundreds
of
fans
of
the
Power
Star
came
to
see
their
favorite
actor
in
action.
The
crowd
was
so
huge
that
the
police
had
to
resort
to
laathi
charge
to
subdue
the
unruly
crowd.
The
film
crew
were
surprised
to
see
such
interest
from
the
villagers
in
the
Maharashtra
border
towards
Kannada
movies.
Ranavikrama
is
almost
in
the
last
phase
of
shooting
and
will
soon
go
into
post
production
mode.
The
film
stars
Puneet
Rajkumar
and
Adah
Sharma
in
lead
roles.
