I Love To Be A Villain: Rakshit Shetty

The young evolving actor-director Rakshit Shetty says, he loves to act in negative roles. He is one among the talented directors in Sandalwood. An engineer leaving his job and taking up direction because of his passion is a fact to be appreciated.

Before he started his journey in film industry, Rakshit was working in a private company an as engineer. His hardwork and passion for movies and short films has made him a successful director now, in Kannada film industry.

Although he is a new comer his movie Ulidavaru Kandanthe(As Seen By The Rest)was admired by the eminent people of Sandalwood. His fans were shocked to see him in an arrogant gangster role in Ulidavaru Kandanthe, on contrast to the romantic role he played in Simple Agi Ondh Love Story.

In a short span, this hero is popular as any other heros in Sandalwood. His fan following count is increasing day by day. Rakshit Shetty is acting in the upcoming movie Vaastu Prakaara directed by Yograj Bhat. After, Richie's role in Ulidavaru Kandanthe, his fans will definitely like his crook role in Vaastu Prakara.

When asked about what kind of roles he wants to act, Rakshit Shetty said, " I am attracted to negative characters. I want to play a range of negative emotions, like being mean, like Riche's role in Ulidavaru Kandante. I would also love to play Salman Khan's character in Dabangg, Tom Hanks in Terminal or the sophisticated villain that Leonardo Di Caprio played in Django Unchained."

There are speculations that Rakshit Shetty is directing a movie titled Thugs of Malgudi starring Sudeep which will portray Sudeep in a negative role.
