Madras
High
Court
has
made
a
smooth
way
for
Sandalwood's
forthcoming
movie
Nimbehuli's
release,
by
squashing
the
writ
filed
by
Dravida
Munetra
Kazhagam
(DMK)
party
workers.
The
news
has
been
confirmed
by
none
other
than
director
Hemanth
Hegde,
who
is
also
playing
the
lead
role
in
the
movie.
Hemath
Hegde,
who
took
to
his
micro-blogging
site
to
confirm
the
news,
said
that
the
development
is
a
lesson
for
the
people,
who
are
threat
to
the
right
to
freedom
of
expression.
Nimbehuli
was
slated
to
release
for
Christmas
in
2013.
Hemath,
who
is
happy
with
the
Court's
verdict,
said,
"Wow!
Finally
th
ordeal
is
over!!
The
Madras
High
court
has
quashed
the
writ
petition
and
has
given
a
go
ahead
for
Nimbehuli
release.
Hope
it
teaches
a
lesson
to
all
th
petty
minded
stuck
up
people
who
want
to
curtail
freedom
of
expression,
feeling
ecstatic."
DMK
representatives
across
Tamil
Nadu
had
alleged
that
Nimbehuli
is
portraying
their
leader
M
Karunanidhi
and
his
daughter
Kanimozhi
in
a
very
bad
light.
They
feared
that
the
character
'Karuna
Ranga',
which
is
played
by
actor
Bullet
Prakash,
is
very
much
similar
to
their
senior
leader
Karunanidhi
and
would
affect
the
party's
image
in
forthcoming
elections.
