Seems like the audience, who had enjoyed the 2013's two biggest TV reality shows - Bigg Boss Kannada and Kannadada Kotyadhipati will not be lucky enough to see the same this year. It is a biggest disappointment for Kannada audience, who had enjoyed the first season of Bigg Boss Kannada and second season of Kannadada Kotyadhipati hosted by Kannada superstars - Abhinaya Chakravarthy Kiccha Sudeep and Power Star Puneet Rajkumar, respectively. Both Bigg Boss Kannada and Kannadada Kotyadhipati, which were aired in Suvarna TV and ETV Kannada respectively, garnered the highest viewership for both channels. It is reported that despite getting huge viewership, the two channels have lost lot of money for hosting the show. The two programs have been considered to be a very big show for Kannada television market. Trade analyst Prashanth Sambargi has opined that these two shows will costs between Rs 25-30 crore per season. He said, "Bigg Boss Kannada had 100 episodes per season, while Kannadada Kotyadhipati had 80. In Kannada market, this investment cannot be monetised by advertisement revenue alone."
