Director Pawan Kumar hasn't made a new movie after his critically acclaimed Lucia. While everyone has been asking about his next movie, the director has kept himself busy writing the script for the new movie.
Reacting to the questions from his fans, the director said that he will start a new movie only when the script has been finalized. He also admitted that he is facing some struggles to finish the script. He went on to explain that the new script will have a linear form of narrative which is tough to write. He also added that his he is trying to add a message in his movie to create a social awareness.
Apparently the talented director had attempted to write the script with liner narrative before he started working on Lifeu Ishtene. However he abandoned it due to the difficulty he was facing in writing the story. However the director is now attempting to finish the script.
He said, "Why so long for the next? A question I get to hear every day. In my new script I am trying to take up few challenges... like I am consiously sticking to a linear narrative... n linear is far more difficult than non linear.. so that is kinda testing me. And I am also trying to blend popular genre treatment with a social issue .. getting that right balance is challenging. Most of the time it is making me feel like I should retire.. but I am trying to hang on to it. Its also a script that I ideated before writing lifeu.. n I kept rejecting it bcoz of these difficulties I was facing. But this time I thought I really should crack it.. face the challenges. 75% of it has come out quite well... the last part is the @#$# unlike lucia or lifeu which were fiction based upon a philosophy... in this one I can't just say anything... there is a social responsibility on wat the audience take from it."
