Power*** Box Office Collection Crosses 7 Crores

Puneet Rajkumar starrer Power*** was released with much fanfare last week on 28th August. The movie created a record when it was screened in 275+ centers across the state. This is the biggest opening any Kannada movie has received in 80 years of Kannada film industry. The movie also marked the Sandalwood debut for actress Trisha. Such was the craze and demand for the movie that the first show was screened at 2:30 AM to a full house audience in Bellary.

Power*** - Movie Review

The box office collection of the movie has been phenomenal. It made 7 crores in the first three days and this is the best collection for any Kannada movie so far. The collection on the 3rd day was the highest for the movie. Traders say that the movie's highest collection was on Friday with a collection of 2.15 crores approximately. However, the producer of the movie, Ram Achanta tweeted that the 3rd day collection was the biggest so far.

He said, "#POWER - Day 3 is bigger than Day 1 & 2. Outstanding collections. Packed shows all over K'taka. Powerstar is back to rule BO." A staggering 1060 shows are being screened everyday across the state. Almost all the theaters are running houseful. This is perhaps the best response to any Kannada movie so far.

Earlier this year, Sudeep and Ravichandran starrer Maanikya shattered all records on box office by becoming the highest grossing movie in Sandalwood. Looks like Power*** is soon going to break that record.
