Power*** Gets U/A Certificate

One of the most anticipated movies in Sandalwood is Puneet Rajkumar starrer Power***. The movie is the remake of Telugu Blockbuster Dookudu. The movie has been directed by Maadesh. The movie has been produced by the makers of Dookudu.

The movie was slated for releaseon August 22nd. However, it was delayed due to problems in the censor board. While the regional censor board was incapacitated due to shortage of members, the Mumbai censor board is in trouble with the Censor Board Chief getting arrested by the CBI under bribery charges.

Yesterday the State government appointed 20 new members on a temporary basis for 25 days. With this progress, the Regional Censor Board is now functional and ready to give censor certificate to Kannada movies. The regional censor board acted swiftly and censored the much anticipated movie of Puneet Rajkumar. It will be released with a U/A certificate.

The producers say that with the censor clearance in hand, the movie is now all set for a mega release. The movie is slated to release statewide in over 200 theaters on August 28th. The movie will also mark the debut of Tamil and Telugu actress Trisha in Sandalwood. The songs of the movie has been declared a blockbuster hit and the platinum disc of the audio was unveiled last month.
