Many
audience
are
still
clueless
about
the
picture,
where
Rebel
Star
Ambareesh
and
Superstar
Upendra
are
seen
together.
This
is
one
of
the
rare
photo,
which
is
to
be
included
in
the
Sandalwood's
encyclopedia,
where
two
of
the
Kannada
icons
are
seen.
This
photo
was
taken
in
1994,
when
Upendra
was
still
a
budding
talent
in
Kannada
film
industry
as
a
director.
Uppi,
who
was
basking
in
the
success
of
Om
with
Shivaraj
Kumar,
had
joined
hands
with
Rebel
Star
Ambi
for
Operation
Antha.
Operation
Antha
was
the
sequel
of
the
1981
Blockbuster
Antha,
which
had
also
starred
Rebel
Star
Ambareesh
in
the
dual
role.
After
Om,
Upendra
had
written
Operation
Antha's
script
exclusively
for
Ambareesh,
and
was
successful
in
bringing
back
the
two
dynamic
characters
-
Inspector
Sushil
Kumar
and
Kanwar
Lal
on
screen
after
14
years.
Apart
from
Ambareesh,
Operation
Antha
also
had
Lakshman,
Master
Hirannaih,
journalist
P
Lankesh,
Sangeetha,
Lakshmi
Devi,
Bank
Janardhan
and
others
in
the
significant
roles.
The
film
talks
about
an
effort
of
a
patriot
(Inspector
Sushil
Kumar),
who
takes
up
the
mission
to
clean
India's
corruption
and
bureaucracy
through
violence.
However,
he
fails
as
the
corrupt
politicians
trick
him
by
making
use
of
a
baddie
(Kanwar
Lal).
The
movie
also
made
some
controversies
because
of
its
taunts
on
some
real
life
political
figures.
