Rose - Movie Review

Rose, a romantic Kannada movie starring Ajay Rao has released on July 4th. The movie is written and directed by Sahana Murthy H.S. and produced by Tharun Shivappa. The cast, besides Ajay Rao, includes Shravya, Sadhu Kokila, Bullet Prakash, Raju Thalikote, Sudha Belwadi, Pavithra Lokesh.

The movie revolves around the story of Ajai (Ajay Rao) and Amrutha (Shravya) who fall in love with each other. However their parents oppose the relationship when they come to know about it. A twist in the plot occurs and the protagonist Ajai is jailed. He then tries to escape and reunite with his lady love. Whether he manages to escape and reunite with Amrutha is the story of the movie.

The storyline is very simple and dialogue delivery is average. First half of the movie is bland. Apart from the much hyped kissing scene between the lead actors, there isn't much to engage the audience. In the second half of the movie, the story becomes interesting with the arrest of the boy. While the lead pair have tried their best, they don't have a strong story to go about. Sadhu Kokila as usual provides some comic release in the movie.

While the music of the movie has been appreciated by the audience, the narration by Sahana Murthy fall flat and fails to improve the quality of the movie in spite of the great chemistry between the lead pair.

Rose is an average movie, which the audience will not remember for a long time.
