Sharan Adhyaksha Gets Censor Clearance

Sharan's latest movie Sharan Adhyaksha got the Censor clearance just in time for release on 15th August. The censor board gave a U/A certificate for the movie. The movie will release without any cuts or editing as the censor board did not recommend any such edits.

Earlier the movie had ran into controversy regarding the title. After an out of the court settlement, the title of the movie has been changed to Sharan Adhyaksha. However, the movie ran into another legal trouble recently.

A Hindu organization filed a petition in the court saying a few scenes in the movie are objectionable and could hurt the religious sentiments. The makers of the movie have informed the court that they are ready to delete the objectionable contents from the movie.

Reacting to the incident, the censor officer Narayan Swamy said that the censor board has the sole powers to delete or edit any content of a movie. He added that once the censor certificate has been given, no one can alter, edit or delete contents of the movie without the ratification of the censor board.

It seems that Sharan Adhyaksha will release without any edits. The movie directed by the Victory fame Nandakishore will release this Friday (August 15).
