Shivaraj Kumar At Weekend With Ramesh
Varanata Dr Rajkumar's first son Dr. Shivaraj Kumar was the guest in the weekly talk show, Weekend With Ramesh, hosted by actor/director Ramesh Aravind. He was the guest for the episodes aired on September 27th and 28th.
Shivanna first congratulated Ramesh for hosting a popular and beautiful show. The show has been appreciated by all viewers for clean content and celebrating achievement. Shivanna gave a display of his down to earth mannerism in the show. He discussed in detail about his life, before and after entering the film industry
He shared a secret about his family. According to Shivanna, ever since Appaji's time and even after his death, the women had the last say in house. Shivanna said that Appaji stressed on giving women a chance to make decisions. What ever said by women is never questioned in the house according to the star.
Shivanna said that Appaji always ensured that all the family members were together. All the cousins and siblings used to live as one big family. Appaji never differentiated between any of the children. Nobody was Rajkumar's children, or Nagatthe's children in the house.
Shivanna used to roam around the village with all his cousins during his childhood. He said, only after they all were feeling hungry, would they come home for eating food prepared by the womenfolk in the house.
Geeta has the final say in my house
Shivanna said that even in his house, his wife Geetha takes the final decision. He said that, being an actor, he has to act with all beautiful actresses. Therefore, there are times when his wife gets jealous of this.
Shivanna remembers Appaji
Ever since he started to act, Dr Rajkumar never said anything to Shivanna. Only a few time, he asked him to speak with slowly to bring clarity to his dialogue delivery. Shivanna also said that Appaji used to tell that there is spark in his eyes, which was also endorsed by Real Star Upendra.
Shivanna's family and friends speak
Remembering their childhood, his friends fondly remembered the days they spent together. Shivanna used to travel to college in government buses. Even though there were seats available, Shivanna used to travel on the footboard. All the friends used to head to Gajanooru when holidays were declared.
When Kamal Hassan visited his home
When Shivanna was young, Kamal Hassan had visited his home and was talking to Appaji. Kamal Hassan inquired about him, and Appaji said that he was the eldest son in the house. Shivanna requested to hug Kamal Hassan that day. After hugging, he did not take bath for two days, joked Shivanna.

Speaking about Kamal Hassad, he said, "I used to watch all Kamal Hassan movies on first day first show basis. I used to use my father's influence to get the tickets. There is no actor like Kamal sir in India and I salute his dedication and hard work. Appaji and Kamal Sir had great respect for each other."
Shivanna talks about Gurudutt
Shivanna said that Gurudutt has fascination with English. He used to spend most of his time in my college instead of attending the classes in his college. Shivanna added that he misses the days he spent in Gajanuru along with Gurudutt.
