Shivaraj Kumar's Mother-In-Law Passes Away

Shakuntala Bangarappa, wife of Karnataka ex-Chief Minister late S Bangarappa and mother-in-law of Hattrick Hero Shivaraj Kumar has passed away this after noon, April 22, 2014. She was 70 and reportedly suffering from cancer disease for which she was taking treatment from past few days.

Shakuntala was rushed to Mallya Hospital in Bangalore at the early hours of Tuesday after she fell ill, where she breathed her last. She made her last public appearance in Shimoga, where she was seen campaigning for her daughter Geetha Shivaraj Kumar, JDS contestant from Shimoga in Lok Sabha elections.

Shakuntala is survived by two sons - Madhu Bangarappa, Vasanth Kumar aka Kumar Bangarappa and daughter Geetha Shivaraj Kumar. Madhu and Kumar intially started their career in Sandalwood and later they became active in politics.

Raghavendra Rajkumar, brother of Shivaraj Kumar visited Mallya hospital and paid his last respect to Shakunatala. The body will be kept for the public viewing in Madhu Bangarappa's residence, Sadhashiv Nagar, Bangalore, today after, which it will be taken to their home town. The last rights of Shakuntala is likely to be held in Bangaradhama, at Soraba district, in Shimoga on Wednesday (April 23).
