Shivaraj Kumar-Upendra's Om To Re-Release In New Avatar

Om, which is the biggest hit in the history of Sandalwood, is getting re-released soon. However, this is not the first time the movie is getting re-released, but the special attraction for this time will be the technical touch for the movie.

Om, which has been got re-released for plenty of times over the year is the directorial venture of Superstar Upendra. The film, which was released nearly 20 years ago had Hattrick hero Shivaraj Kumar and Prema in the lead roles.

It is reported that the Sandalwood's classic has been doctored with Digital Intermediate (DI) and Digital Theatre Systems (DTS) without disturbing the content. Sources from Gandhinagara has said that with the new touch of technology, Om will be more appealing to the audience, who admire the movie even after 20 years.

Om was produced by Parvathamma Rajkumar under Dr Rajkumar's home banner 'Poornima Enterprises'. The movie that redefined action movies in Kannada film industry, was released in 1995. It was a career-changing film for Shivaraj Kumar and Upendra. The movie gave a completely new image for Shivanna and it gave a big break to Uppi as a director. The interesting part of the movie is the satellite rights, which has not been sold till date.
