Sudeep Gets Rs 6 Crore For Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Movie

Earlier rumour mills were doing rounds in Gandhinagara about Tamil filmmaker Chimbudevan approaching Kannada's superstar Abhinaya Chakravarthy Kiccha Sudeep for his fantasy movie with Tamil Superstar Ilayathalapathy Vijay. Later Sudeep had also confirmed the same and revealed that he will be doing a fantasy movie with Vijay, which feature South beauty Deepika Padukone in the female lead.

Now the topic that has brought the project into limelight is about the payment for Sudeep, who is really getting bombed as the remuneration for the untitled movie. Leading daily Bangalore Mirror reported that Sudeep's remuneration for the movie is Rs 6 crore, which has not only made him the highest paid Kannada actor, but also the highest paid South Indian actor in a language other than his own.

Director Chimbudevan, who is known for his historical-fantasy comedy movies like Imsai Arasan 23m Pulakeshi, Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum, Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam, and Arai En 305-il Kadavul is expected to helm the untitled project in the same genre. Currently the project is on with its working title Vijay 58, which is also marking the 58th movie in Ilayathalapathy's career. However, Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone, who is awaiting the release of multi-lingual movie Rajinikanth starrer Kochadaiyaan, has not confirmed her dates.
