Upendra's Brahma Is Not Influenced From Magadheera: R Chandru
The stage is all set for the grand release of Superstar Upendra starrer Brahma - The Leader. The movie, which is the first combination of Uppi and director R Chandru will be releasing on February 7, 2014.
Director R Chandru, who is famous for his romantic thrillers like Taj Mahal, Prem Kahani, Chaarminaar will be releasing the movie on his birthday (Feb 7). Apart from Uppi, Brahma also features Brahma also features Pranitha, Sonu Sood, Nasar, Ananth Nag, Rahul Dev, Ranghayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Bullet Prakash, Suchendra Prasad, Sumitra and others in the key roles. The bilingual movie is made with the budget of Rs 15 crore, and simultaneously made in Kannada, Telugu and later dubbed into Tamil. How Different Is Brahma from Your Previous Movies?
Social concern and sentiments are the main highlight of my films. Though Brahma is in the different format, I am successful in giving a message for the youth and society.
Is Brahma Influenced From Telugu Movie Magadheera?
No, not at all. I have been clearing the same from the day I shot the war scene. The movie can't be compared to Magadheera. The war scene is just used to narrate the flashback, which is there for few minutes.
For Which Audience Will Trilingual Movie Brahma Suits?
We have aimed to reach all the audience. Uppi sir is also having a huge fan followers in Telugu, and he has also done few movies in Tamil. Kannada is my mother tongue, and the movie will definitely suit Kannada audience and Upendra's fans.
What Is Director Upendra's Role In Brahma?
Brahma is a 'Chandru Movie' and nobody is involved in the direction part other than me.

I don't want to disturb other Kannada movie makers. I have discussed with the distributors earlier and then gave the ad. As scheduled Brahma's main theatre is Santosh.
In How Many Theatres Brahma Will Be Releasing?
As of now 250 theatres across the state has been confirmed. Our distributors are in talk with many other theatres, which is likely to increase for 300 by tomorrow.
When Will The Telugu And Tamil Version Of Brahma Will Be Releasing?
After two weeks, that is on February 21, 2014. As of now 350 theatres across Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu has confirmed.
Last But Not Least. What Is Your Stand On Dubbing?
A big 'No'. Our Sandalwood will be a second HMT factory if we start dubbing. Like how it affected the dependents, dubbing will affect the people, who are dependent on Kannada movies for their livelihood.
