Many political parties in Karnataka are aiming at the Sandalwood actors and actress to attract the voters in upcoming Lok Sabha polls. After Ambareesh, Jaggesh, Shashi Kumar and Srinath, here is another Superstar, who is all set to enter politics.

Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to rope in the actor, who used to focus on the social issues in his movies and criticise the political system in his movies. Yes, it is none other than Superstar Upendra, who is all set to contest in upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Mandya.

Jagadeesh Shettar, leader of Karnataka BJP has said, "We are trying to bring in Upendra to contest from Mandya constituency. As the current MP is also a celebrity we are looking to give ticket to a celebrity." With this, Uppi is all set to lock horns with Sandalwood Queen Ramya, who was recently elected as MP from Mandya. The Golden girl has won over the congress ticket from Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency.
