Upendra's Uppi 2 To Be Distributed By R Chandru
After the success of much anticipated movie Brahma, Superstar Upendra and director R Chandru has again joined hands. This time, the duo will not be seen as a director and actor, but as a producer and a distributor.
Yes, Superstar Uppi has given away the distribution of his home banner movie Uppi 2 to director R Chandru. Upendra is directing the movie under 'Upendra Productions,' which is likely to start its shooting from March 2014. It is said that Upendra was just impressed with the Brahma's marketing strategy, which made him to give the complete distribution rights of Uppi 2 to Chandru. Director Chandru distributed Brahma under his home banner 'Mylaari Enterprises'.
Brahma, which was released in more than 200 single screens in Karnataka alone had approximately grossed Rs 10 crore in four days at the Box Office. It is reported that this is the huge amount ever for a Upendra's movie. Chandru had released the movie on his birthday (Feb 7) which had also broken his previous record created by Chaarminaar. It is reported that Chandru has promised Upendra that he will make Uppi 2 to cross nett Rs 40 crore. He will also be releasing the movie in Tamil and Telugu.

However, Upendra has revealed that he will be releasing Uppi 2 for his birthday, September 18, 2014. The movie is the sequel of Upendra, which was released in 1999.
