Uppi 2 Will Not Be Releasing On Upendra's Birthday!

Sandalwood's much hyped movie Uppi 2, which is the directorial venture of Kannada's maverick filmmaker Upendra, has postponed its release date. The movie was earlier said to be releasing on Upendra's birthday, September 18, 2014. (Exclusive Interview: Upendra Talks About Uppi 2).

It is said that as Upendra became busy with many of his other projects, he was not able to concentrate on Uppi 2, which is yet to confirm its other lead cast. The movie, which was launched on Upendra's birthday in 2013 will be produced under Upendra's home banner 'Upendra Productions'. Upendra's wife Priyanka Upendra will be producing the film along with CR Mohan. (Uppi To Divorce Priyanka For Six Months)

Upendra, who has wrapped up all the projects is all set to start the shooting from June 2014. "The shoot of the movie will start from June. Uppi 2 is likely to be shot extensively in coastal belt and foreign countries," says Uppi, who has denied the rumours of Bollywood diva Vidya Balan playing the female lead in the movie. "I have not approached Vidya Balan for the movie," adds Uppi, who has recently wrapped up the shooting of Supero Ranga. Sandalwood's ace music director Gurukiran will be scoring the music for the film and Ashok Kashyap will be handling the camera.
