Weekend With Ramesh Comes To A Superlative End

The popular television chat show 'Weekend With Ramesh (WWR)', aired on Zee Kannada, came to a beautiful conclusion on Sunday 26th October. The show caught the attention of viewers all over the state for its meaningful content. Hosted by actor/director Ramesh Aravind, the show used to celebrate achievers from Sandalwood and people from all walks of life.

The USP of the show was definitely its content. Ramesh conducted the show in a very dignified manner with no room for sensationalism or controversy. The show came as a relief for people who were fed up with the regular reality show. Within a couple of episodes the show garnered very high TRPs among all other shows.

The last two episodes of WWR was aired on October 25th and 26th. In a regular episode, an achiever would be invited to sit on the hot seat and Ramesh would quiz them and reveal the story of their life, while putting light on how they achieved success in life. In the last two episodes, the tables were turned and Ramesh was made to sit on the hot seat and maverick director Yogaraj Bhat hosted the show. The multi talented director showed his prowess as a show host in the episode, which got the highest TRP for the season. During the show a lot of Ramesh's life story was revealed.

Ramesh talked about his father saying that he was a man of high self esteem and discipline. It was this quality of his father that was imbibed by Ramesh from a very young age. The actor added that at the age of 19 his father constructed his own home.

Ramesh came to the entertainment industry in 1986 through the movie Sundara Swapnagalu. The actor had actually sent his father's photograph to the legendary director. However, the director was interested in casting him in the movie. That movie started his journey as an actor.

Talking about his directorial venture Ramesh said that it was due to Kamal Haasan's insistence that he decided to direct Rama Shama Bhama. Kamal Haasan was free for a period of 16 days. It was during that time when he asked Ramesh to make a movie.

Talking about his upcoming movie Uthama Villain, the actor said that it was a privilege to direct Kamal Haasan again in a movie. Ramesh claimed that currently he is busy with the post production of the movie and it will be released soon.

Hat-trick hero Shivaraj Kumar called on Ramesh during the show and said that he wants to work in a movie which will be directed by Ramesh himself. Ramesh had earlier said that he is a big fan of Dr Rajkumar and used to watch all his movies in theater.

Ramesh, in the end thanked the viewers for making the show such a grand success. Ramesh confessed that he never imagined that show would go to become so popular and touch the hearts of thousands. He also thanked the support team and said that the show would not have been possible if not for the help and guidance he received from his team.
