'RangiTaranga' Fame Avantika Shetty To Play TV Journalist In Kalpana 2!

Avantika Shetty to play the role of a TV journalist in her upcoming movie, says reports. The glamorous actress is all set to share on-screen space with Real Star Upendra, after the success debut in RangiTaranga.

The Mangalore-based actress Avantika played the second female lead in the thriller movie RangiTaranga. After watching her performance in the movie, Upendra has chosed her to star in his nexr movie Kalpana 2.

Kalpana 2 is the sequel of earlier movie Kalpana. The Kalpana series in the official remake movies of Tamil hit film Kachana.

Directed and penned by Raghava Lawrence Kachana 2 stared Taapsee Pannu and Nithya Menon as female lead roles. Now, the Kannada version is getting shaped under director Ramnarayan and Avantika Shetty will play the role of Taapsee Pannu in the movie.

Speaking to a leading daily Avantika Shetty said, "I take on the role that Tapsee Pannu did in the original - that of a TV journalist. I had seen Kanchana 2 and liked the character that was offered to me - a very lively, spirited girl. Moreover, since it is a remake, I had clarity on the script, so I said yes,".
