Sandalwood Celebs Mourn The Loss Of Director KSL Swamy (PICS )
Legendary actor, playback singer, producer and director KSL Swamy(77) passed away yesterday, October 20. It is a great loss for Sandalwood industry.
Born as Kikkeri Shamanna Lakshminarasimha Swamy in 1938, the great filmmaker is popularly known for giving best movies Thoogudeepa, Lagna Pathrike, Gandhinagara, Bhagya Jyothi and Mayala Marutha.
The reports say it was KSL Swamy who gave the name Thoogudeepa for Darshan's father Srinivas. Over the years, Srinivas earned huge fame for his antagonist roles portrayed in the movie and he became famous as Thoogudeepa Srinivas.
Thoogudeepa was the first debut movie of KSL Swamy as an independent director in 1966. KSL can be said as one of the strongest pillars of Sandalwood film industry. Sandalwood stars visited Samsa Bayalu Rangamandira and took the last glimpse of the actor.
Biggies CM Siddaramaiah, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Bhagwan, Darshan, Ramya, Malavika, Avinash, Sridhar, Hema Choudary and many other actors visited Samsa Bayala Rangamandira and gave grieve for BV Radha, wife of KSL Swamy.

According to insiders, Darshan and his family was very close to KSL Swamy. In 1966, through Thoogudeepa, KSL Swamy gave the name Thoogudeepa to Darshan's father Srinivas. Later Srinivas earned huge fame as Thoogudeepa Srinivas.
Ramya With BV Radha
Actress-politician Ramya was also seen at Samsa Bayalu Rangamandira, yesterday. She spent some quality time with BV Radha. and took the auspicious last glimpse of KSL Swamy.
Avinash And Malavika
The whole Sandalwood industry mourned the loss of KSL Swamy. The legendary director worked as an associate with Puttana Kanagal, GV Iyer and MR Vittal. In pics, actors Malavika and Avinash giving their condolences.
