Puneeth Rajkumar is the youngest son of veteran actor Dr. Rajkumar. Before he debuted as a hero, Puneeth was a child artist in movies in which his father, Dr Rajkumar played the lead role.
The top star of Sandalwood has performed as a child artist in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Hosa Belaku(1982), Bhakta Prahlada(1983) and many more. Appu also garnered National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu(1985).
Puneeth started his career as a hero through Appu in Kannada film industry. From his first movie Appu to his recent release Mythri, all his movies have been box office blockbusters.
