WHOA! A pride moment for Kannada film industry. The reason behind this moment is Upendra's Uppi 2; fro it has become the highest rated movie in the world.

The movie which released on 14th August is making huge collections all over India as well as Overseas. Upendra's movie has set a unique trend in Sandalwood through its story, a psychological thriller. While many local leading newspapers and electronic media gave 3.5, few rated the movie high, 4.5 being the highest.

But, IMDb(Internet Movie Data Base) has given a rating of 9.7 stars out of 10. This is for the first time IMDb has given the highest rating for a Kannada movie. Uppi 2 has already set a new record at the box office by collecting 9 Crores(approx) on its first day at the box office.

Now, Uppi 2 has once again has made the whole world to look up to it by getting the highest rating in the world by IMDb. Well, Uppi 2 is the sequel to the earlier movie Upendra(1999), which started Upendra, Parul Yadav and Kristina Akheeva in the lead roles.

The movie also starred Tennis Krishna, Satyajith, Shobhraj, Shayaji Shinde and others in the supporting characters.
