Ajai
Rao,
who
is
back
to
the
success
track
after
his
home
production
Krishna
Leela
and
Krishna
Rukku,
is
busy
with
the
shoot
of
the
multi-starrer
Amar
Akbar
Antony.
The
latest
buzz
from
Gandhinagar
suggests
that,
Ajai
Rao
has
been
signed
to
play
the
lead
role
in
remake
of
Tamil
film
Pichaikkaran,
which
was
released
earlier
this
year
and
went
on
to
become
the
biggest
blockbuster
of
the
year
and
biggest
hit
for
hero
Vijay
Antony.
Pichaikkaran
was
dubbed
into
Telugu
as
Bicchagadu,
and
astonishingly
the
movie
was
declared
as
a
blockbuster
in
Telugu
as
well.
The
Telugu
version
released
in
Bangalore
recently,
and
did
decent
business
at
the
box
office.
Success
in
both
the
versions,
raised
the
eyebrows
of
several
Kannada
producers
which
made
them
to
contest
for
the
remake
rights
of
the
movie.
As
per
our
sources,
at
least
5
to
6
top
producers
and
a
couple
of
heroes
tried
for
the
remake
rights.
Finally,
Jack
Manjunath
and
Yogi
Dwarkish
of
Mysore
Talkies,
have
procured
the
remake
rights
of
Pichaikkaran.
Apparently,
they
have
signed
Ajai
Rao
to
play
the
lead
role
as
well.
Official
word
about
this
is
yet
to
be
confirmed.
Mysore
Talkies,
was
recently
formed
by
Jack
Manju,
who
distributed
U
Turn
and
Jigarthanda
through
the
same
banner.
Recently,
Yogish
Dwarkish
joined
hands
with
Manju
to
distribute
and
produce
movies
under
the
banner.
Looks
like
the
first
movie
from
them
will
be
this
remake.
Details
about
the
rest
of
the
cast
and
crew
is
yet
to
be
finalized.
As
per
the
reports,
director
for
the
film
has
been
already
finalized
and
announcement
will
be
made
very
soon.
