the
years
2014
and
2015
were
presented
to
the
winners
recently
in
an
event
at
Bangalore.
Chief
Minister
of
the
state,
Siddaramaiah
and
other
ministers
were
the
guests
of
honor
at
the
award
ceremony.
This
was
not
just
a
normal
award
function
that
happens
every
year,
because
CM
Siddaramiah
made
three
important
announcements
at
the
event,
which
was
appreciated
by
the
dignitaries
and
audience
present
in
the
auditorium.

Subsidy
To
Be
Given
To
125
Films
Effective
2016
So
far,
a
subsidy
of
Rs
10
Lakhs
was
given
to
100
Kannada
films
per
year.
From
the
current
year,
it
will
be
increased
to
125
films,
which
will
be
a
sigh
of
relief
for
the
producers
to
an
extent.
Relief
For
Uday
And
Anil's
Families
CM
expressed
his
grief
on
the
death
of
Anil
and
Uday,
who
lost
their
lives
in
Maasti
Gudi
mishap.
Also,
he
announced
compensation
of
5
Lakhs
each
for
the
families.
Award
Ceremony
On
Dr
Rajkumar's
Birthday
Another
major
proclamation
by
CM
was
that
Karnataka
State
Film
awards
ceremony
will
be
held
on
April
24
henceforth,
which
is
the
birth
anniversary
of
matinee
idol
Dr
Rajkumar.
After
announcing
the
relief
for
Uday
and
Anil's
families,
he
advised
the
makers
to
be
extra
cautious
while
shooting
for
action
sequences
by
citing
the
example
of
negligence
displayed
by
the
Maasthi
Gudi
team.
CM
Siddaramiah
urged
Kannada
film
producers
and
directors
to
make
meaningful
movies
which
will
bring
a
change
in
the
society.
He
also
congratulated
all
the
winners
of
Karnataka
State
Film
awards
for
the
years
2014
and
2015.
