Chowka, Mukunda Murari And Other Upcoming Multi-starrers Of Sandalwood!

It is surely the season of multi-starrers in Kannada film industry with more than half a dozen multi-starrers in different stages of production.

There was a time when there were hardly any multi-starrers in KFI, but were common in other industries. We should be happy that our industry is slowly catching up with the trend.

Multi-starrer movies pose a win-win situation for both the makers and audiences. The audiences would be happy as they would watch their favorite stars together on screen, in one ticket. For makers, multi-starrers will fetch good rates in distribution and satellite circles.

The movies like Aatagara, Kiragoorina Gayalligalu, which had multiple stars released in the last few months had garnered a decent response.
Let's have a look at the multi-starrers which are in different stages of production and have created huge expectations.

Doddmane Hudga
This is the film which has had the best star cast in the recent times. This is for first time, Puneeth will be seen sharing screen space with veterans Rebel Star Ambarish, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan and Sumalatha. The movie also has Ravishankar, Darling Krishna, Rangayana Raghu, Chikkanna and others.

Mukunda Murari
The film has two of the biggest stars of our industry, Upendra and Kichcha Sudeep coming together for the first time. The film is official remake of Hindi film OMG. Fans are excited to watch two stars together on-screen. It will be released in October and music will be out soon.

Tagaru
Shivanna is playing the lead role in this film, which also has Dhananjaya, Vashista N Simha, Suhasini and Manirathnam playing important roles. Suri has directed the flick and KP Srikanth is bankrolling the project. Shoot will start very shortly.

Chowka
The film has Vijay Ragahvendra, Prem, Prajwal, Diganth, Priyamani, Bhavana, Aindritha Ray and Deepa Sannidhi playing important roles. Also, the movie has 5 DOPs, 5 music directors, 5 dialogue writers and 5 art directors. The audio is expected to be out next week.

Happy Birthday
The film marks debut for Pannaga Bharana, as a director. He has brought Vijay Raghavendra, Diganth, Dhananjaya, Sonu Gowda, Sruthi Hariharan together. He is in the process of finalizing two more heroes and heroines for the film which will start shooting very soon.

Leader
Yet another film of Hat-trick Hero Shivanna, which boasts of an ensemble star cast - Vijay Raghavendra, Loose Mada Yogi, Pranitha Subhash, Deepika Kammaiah, Prakash Belwadi and Guru Jaggesh. The film had its muhurtha last month, and shooting starts in October.

Dayavittu Gamanisi
Actor/Writer Rohit Padaki will make his directorial debut with this film that boasts of an ensemble star cast of Prakash Belwadi, Rajesh Nataranga, Raghu Mukherjee, Vashista N Simha, Sukrutha Wagle, Samyuktha Hornad and Poornachandra Mysore. Meghana Raj will be seen in a special song.

Apart from these upcoming multi-starrer movies, we have Ganesh starrer Mungaru Male 2, where Ravichandran is playing an important role and Seizer, where Ravichandran, Chiru Sarja and Prakash Raj are playing important roles.

Also, Sri Murali's next, which is tentatively titled as Mufti, will have Shivanna playing an important role. The official announcement regarding this project will be done next week. Another multi-starrer John Jani Janardhan, featuring Ajai Rao, Yogi and Darling Krishna is gearing up for release.
