Confirmed! S Narayan Will Remake Sairat

Kalasamrat S Narayan will direct the remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat, and this will be his 50th movie. Rockline Venkatesh will be producing the movie under his banner Rockline Entertainments.

S Narayan was supposed to direct newcomer Jagadish Gowda in a movie titled JD which had the story and screenplay by hero Jagadish Gowda. This was publicized as his 50th movie, but S Narayan walked out of the project citing creative differences between him and hero Jagadish as the reason.

Crazy Star Ravichandran's second son Vikram Ravichandran, was speculated to be the hero of the movie but there was no official confirmation regarding this. Now the makers have made it clear that Vikram is not playing the lead role in the movie.

Newcomers Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru had played the lead roles in the original. Like the original, team wants to have fresh faces in the Kannada version and team is looking for new talent who can fit in the role perfectly.

Apparently, the team has auditioned close to 2000 new faces for the heroine role in last week or two but there are not very happy with the outcome. So team has approached Rinku Rajguru who played the role of Heroine in the original to reprise the same role in Kannada version as well.

The 16-year-old heroine Rinku, is yet to give a nod for the project. Also, Ajay-Atul had composed music for the original and duo have been retained for Kannada version as well. The music was one of the major reasons for the success of the movie and Rockline-Narayan wants the duo to weave the same magic in Kannada.

The team is still scouting for the hero and other important roles. Once they have completed the selections and pre-production work, more details about the film will be announced.
