Duniya
Vijay's
next
Cottonpete
had
its
muhurtha
yesterday(July
19)
as
the
team
felt
they
cannot
get
a
better
occasion
than
the
Guru
Pournima
to
kick-start
the
proceedings
for
their
movie.
Om
Prakash
Rao
is
directing
the
action
flick,
which
will
be
produced
by
BS
Sudhindra.
Om
Prakash
Rao
and
Sudhindra
have
collaborated
for
a
couple
of
flicks,
one
of
them
being
the
Kishore
starrer,
Huli.
Sudhindra
had
co-produced
Killing
Verappan,
which
had
released
earlier
this
year.
Duniya
Vijay
will
portray
the
role
of
Kabaddi
player,
who
is
the
son
of
a
bodybuilder.
Even
though
the
movie
is
titled
as
Cottonpete,
the
movie
will
be
shot
in
various
locations
of
Bengaluru
and
the
important
sequences
will
be
shot
in
Tamil
Nadu.
The
movie
was
scheduled
to
have
its
muhurtha
on
August
12
on
the
occasion
of
Varamahalakshmi
festival,
but
preponed
the
start
as
they
got
bulk
dates
of
Duniya
Vijay
and
heroine
Parul
Yadav
for
more
than
40
days.
Shoot
of
Vijay's
other
film
Maasthigudi
was
stopped,
as
rain
was
disrupting
the
schedule
very
often.
So
makers
decided
to
stop
the
shoot
temporarily
and
resume
it,
once
rainy
season
is
over
in
the
regions
where
the
team
is
shooting.
This
was
the
reason
why
the
Cottonpete
team
got
bulk
dates
of
their
hero.
Cottonpete
was
announced
a
few
years
ago
with
Deadly
Star
Adithya
in
lead,
and
apparently
the
team
shot
for
a
few
days
as
well.
But
then,
the
shoot
was
halted
as
there
a
few
creative
differences
amongst
the
team.
Now
the
movie
has
been
resumed
with
the
same
team
but
with
a
different
lead
pair.
