Nanjundi
Kalyana,
an
iconic
movie
starring
Raghavendra
Rajkumar
and
Malashree
was
one
of
the
biggest
hits
then.
Also,
the
movie
had
a
theatrical
run
of
over
1
year
and
did
excellent
business
at
the
box-office.
You
may
wonder,
why
are
we
discussing
about
the
yesteryear
blockbuster?
Now,
a
new
film
starring
Thanush
of
Madamakki
fame
has
been
titled
Nanjundi
Kalyana.
However,
the
team
confirms
that
the
movie
has
nothing
to
do
with
the
original
and
it
is
a
fresh
story.
The
film
will
be
directed
by
actor/writer
Rajendra
Karanth
and
film
is
said
to
be
the
story
of
a
mother
who
is
looking
for
a
perfect
match
for
his
son.
The
team
assures
that
this
will
be
a
laugh
riot.
Before
confirming
the
title,
the
team
met
Raghavendra
Rajkumar
and
narrated
the
script
&
the
need
for
the
title.
Raghanna,
as
he
is
called
by
fans,
loved
the
script
and
gave
a
go
ahead
for
using
the
iconic
title.
The
team
conducted
auditions
for
selecting
the
heroine
and
official
announcement
is
expected
to
be
made
very
soon.
As
of
now
Arun
Sagar,
Seetha
Kote
have
been
signed
on
to
play
important
roles.
Rajendra
Karanth
will
be
penning
script
and
dialogues,
apart
from
directing
the
film.
Jagadish
Wali
has
been
roped
in
as
the
cinematographer.
KM
Prakash
will
be
editing
the
film
and
Sathish
Aryan
will
be
composing
the
music
for
four
songs.
The
film
is
bankrolled
by
Sriram
Talkies
and
this
will
be
their
maiden
venture.
The
team
intends
to
complete
the
pre-production
work
by
October
end.
As
of
now,
makers
are
busy
finalizing
cast
and
crew
of
the
film.
