Film-maker
Pawan
Kumar
of
Lucia
fame
wants
to
enjoy
the
recently
released
Hollywood
flick,
The
Jungle
Book
in
Kannada.
Having
contacted
a
representative
from
Disney,
the
director
who
is
busy
working
on
his
next
release
U-turn,
wants
moviegoers
to
pitch
in
and
take
care
of
the
dubbing
needs
of
The
Jungle
Book
in
Kannada.
Speaking
to
The
News
Minute,
Pawan
has
explained
why
movies
like
these
should
be
dubbed
in
our
mother
tongue.
"If
I
don't
understand
English
well,
I
will
not
be
able
to
enjoy
the
movie
to
the
fullest.
I
will
not
be
able
to
connect
with
the
story
and
understand
what
the
characters
are
trying
to
convey.
Why
should
I
be
denied
to
watch
the
movie
I
want
in
Kannada,
especially
when
it
is
getting
dubbed
in
other
languages?" Pawan
has
asked.
He
has
also
questioned
the
controversial
decision
which
disallows
movies
to
be
dubbed
in
Kannada.
"The
industry
is
under
the
impression
that
original
Kannada
content
will
take
a
hit
if
other
movies
are
dubbed
in
Kannada.
But
audiences
are
not
fools,
they
consume
only
what
they
want
to.
I
don't
think
dubbing
is
harmful
to
the
Kannada
industry," he
says.
