Top director Puri Jagannadh, who made his Kannada debut a decade ago with Shivaraj Kumar's s Yuvaraj, is back in the Kannada Film Industry with the new film titled Rogue.
The movie has Ishaan playing the lead role and the film is being made in Kannada and Telugu simultaneously. Ishaan is the nephew of producer CR Manohar, who has produced films like Shivam and Vajrakaya.
CR Manohar has bankrolled both the versions and apparently the budget of the movie has exceeded 20 Crores. This will be yet another costly debut film after Jaguar, which was made with a budget of 40 Crores.
Pooja Jhaveri and Mannara Chopra are the leading ladies of the film. Thakur Anoop Singh has played the antagonist. The film has been shot in various locations of Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Bangkok.
As per the sources, 70 percent of the shoot was completed earlier this year. But Puri turned busy with his Telugu film Ism starring Nandamuri Kalyanram, which released to average responses.
Now Puri has shifted his focus back to Rogue and aims to wrap up the movie as soon as possible. We hear that the music of the film, which is composed by upcoming composer Sunil Kashyap, will be out in a week or two.
Anoop Singh has also crooned a song for the film. He tweeted- "Got my first break as a singer for a film's song!! Just finished my final recording and rushing to Hyderabad to complete #rogue with Puri sir."
Mukhesh G is the cinematographer and Shaik has edited the film. Producer Manohar intends to release the film for Christmas and it depends on whether Puri will be able to complete the work by then.
