Top producer Rockline Venkatesh, who produced several biggies in Telugu, Tamil and Hindu industries in the last few years, was noncommittal about Kannada films. His last Kannada production was Dakota Picture starring himself in the year 2012.
After a brief gap of almost four years, he is back with a bang to the Kannada film industry with three films which are in different stages of production. Apart from these, he is in discussion with several directors/actors on a couple of other projects.
Sundaranga Jana is the first film of Rockline Entertainments, which has Ganesh and Shanvi in the lead roles. The film, which is the remake of Telugu hit, Bhala Bhale Magadivoyi, has been adopted to Kannada and will be directed by actor Ramesh Aravind.
Allu Aravind, top producer of Telugu film industry who had bankrolled the original version has co-produced the Kananda version along with Rockline. The film's trailer and music was launched recently. The makers are aiming for December release.
The second film which Rockline has started is the remake of Marathi film Sairat, which created many records by grossing over 100 Crores worldwide. Rockline Venkatesh has bagged the remake rights of the film for all South Indian languages.
He has entrusted the complete responsibility of the film to director S Narayan, who has already started shooting for the film with a new hero (Sathyaprakash's son) and Rinku Rajguru (heroine of the original film). This will be S Narayan's 50th film.
Rockline Venkatesh has silently started working on this third film which is yet to be titled. This film is directed by Nanda Kishore, has Manoranjan Ravichandran and Rachita Ram playing the lead roles.
The film is an official remake of Tamil blockbuster Velaiyilla Pattadhari (VIP). The team has already started shooting in different locations of Bangalore. Manoranjan will be completely available for the shoot after the release of his debut film Saheba.
