Like every other weekend, this weekend too is a celebration in Sandalwood. Last weekend, four films were released. But this weekend, it's a bonanza as the number of films that will be releasing is more than last week.
Yes, this weekend seven films will be releasing in theatres all over the state. If seven films release on a same day, it becomes a hectic task for one to opt which movie to be watched. Which ones are not to be missed? Which ones can be skipped? These are some of the questions film-goers face, come every Thursday.

One of the expected movies is Simple Suni's directorial, Operation Alamelamma. Simple Suni is a director who is known for his different method of portraying his movies. The movie is a comedy-suspense thriller and stars Shraddha Srinath and Rishi in the main roles.
Directed by Shiva Tejas, Dhairyam stars Ajay Rao and Aditi Prabhudev in lead roles. P. Ravishankar also features in an important role. The film includes all commercial elements like love, action and sentiment. Music for the film is composed by Emil.
Dada Is Back
So, the director and actor duo from the movie Gombegala Love are back with a new collaboration, Dada Is Back. The film is directed by Santhosh and stars Arun and Shravya in the lead roles.
A special mention goes to Tamil actor Parthiban, who has essayed a very important role in the movie. The movie has Anoop Seelin's music and Nagesh Acharya's cinematography.
The next movie that will be releasing on July 21 is Toss. It was supposed to be released many years ago, but had been into some unforeseen problems until now.
The movie is directed by Dayal Padmanabhan and stars Vijay Raghavendra, Ramya Barna and a newcomer Sandeep. The movie follows a triangle love story with all necessary commercial elements added to it.
Suspense thriller, Trigger will throng theaters this weekend all over Karnataka. The movie stars Chetan Gandharva as the male lead while Jeevitha Pillappa is the female lead. The story, screenplay, dialogues and direction for the movie are done by Vijay Palegar, who is debuting as a director with this movie.
Among all the commercial element oriented movies in the list is the horror thriller movie, Shwetha. Over the years, horror movies have become a go-to genre in Sandalwood if nothing else works out.
Shwetha is directed by Rajesh R Balipa and is a female-centric movie, which stars Akshatha Marla, Jayasheela Gowda, Srinivasa Prabhu and others.
Meenakshi is a movie that has been made, inspired by a real life story. The films stars Raghu Mukherjee and Shubha Poonja in lead roles and is directed by Sridhar. The music for the film is composed by Vani Harikrishna.
