When
the
audiences
are
still
enjoying
movies
like
Sundaranga
Jaana
and
Kirik
Party,
which
released
a
week
or
two
ago,
here
comes
the
first
Friday
of
2017
with
two
notable
releases.
Srikanta
starring
Sandalwood
Shivanna,
Chandini
and
Vijay
Raghavendra
is
the
first
release
this
week.
Directed
by
Manju
Swaraj
and
produced
by
Manu
Gowda
under
his
banner
Mahashaila
Cinibandha.
Killing
Veerappan
was
the
first
release
in
2016
and
even
2017
will
be
kick-started
by
Shivanna.
Unlike
Killing
Veerappan
which
released
with
good
buzz,
Srikanta
is
being
released
with
low
buzz
and
reason
for
this
is
the
low-key
promotions
by
the
makers.
But
as
we
have
seen
in
the
past,
buzz
or
no
buzz,
Shivanna's
films
are
bound
to
take
good
openings.
So
makers
of
Srikanta
would
be
praying
for
the
same
magic
to
happen.
The
film
is
being
released
in
over
180
theaters
throughout
the
state.
NM
Entertainment
and
Mangalmurti
films
are
releasing
the
film
throughout
the
state.
Prominent
distributors
like
Shankara
Enterprises
and
NG
Chandrappa
are
releasing
the
film
in
a
few
regions.
Pushpaka
Vimana
is
the
second
prominent
release
this
week.
The
film
which
started
off
silently,
later
got
good
mileage
because
of
it
being
Ramesh
Aravind's
100th
film.
Expectations
only
increased
after
songs
and
trailers
were
launched.
The
team
promises
an
emotional
ride
of
a
father
and
daughter.
Also
teasers
and
trailers
released
so
far
promise
excellent
visuals
from
Bhuvan
and
BGM
from
Charan
Raj,
apart
from
noteworthy
performances
from
Ramesh,
Rachitha
and
Yuvika.
The
film
is
being
released
throughout
the
state
by
CK
Cine
Creations
in
association
with
Thoogudepa
who
released
Neer
Dose
last
year.
The
makers
have
planned
for
limited
release
in
around
50
theaters.
They
intend
to
increase
the
theater
count
once
the
film
gets
positive
responses.
Let's
wish
good
luck
to
the
teams
of
Srikanta
and
Pushpaka
Vimana.
We
hope
Pushpaka
Vimana
turns
out
to
be
memorable
film
for
Ramesh
Aravind
who
has
entertained
audience
from
the
last
few
decades.
