There
were
reports
from
the
past
few
months
suggesting
that
Parul
Yadav
was
roped
in
for
Kannada
remake
of
Hindi
film
Queen,
and
it
was
to
be
directed
by
actor
turned
director
Ramesh
Aravind.
Neither
Ramesh
nor
the
producers
have
confirmed
it
officially
so
far.
Latest
news
is
that,
director
Ramesh
Aravind
has
signed
on
the
dotted
line
yesterday,
and
he
will
be
directing
Kannada
and
Telugu
versions
of
Queen.
This
will
also
mark
Ramesh's
entry
as
director
into
Telugu
film
industry.
We
hear
that
Parul
Yadav
is
also
confirmed
to
play
the
lead
role
in
Kannada
version
which
will
be
titled
as
Butterfly,
and
film
will
be
officially
launched
in
Bangalore
on
April
30.
Popular
Tamil
actor/producer
Thiagarajan
will
be
bankrolling
the
film
in
all
South
Indian
languages.
Parul
Yadav
has
confirmed
the
news
speaking
to
a
leading
publication.
She
refused
to
comment
on
the
other
versions
of
Queen
and
suggested
that
we
should
wait
for
makers
to
make
an
official
announcement
from
the
producers.
There
were
news
that
popular
actress
Tamannaah
was
roped
in
to
play
the
female
lead
in
Telugu
and
Tamil
versions
but
she
recently
walked
out
of
the
project
citing
remuneration
issues.
Producer
also
commented
that
he
cannot
afford
Tamannaah
and
was
in
the
lookout
for
an
actress
whose
remuneration
matches
his
budget.
This
means
that
Kannada
version
will
be
the
first
to
go
on
to
the
sets
and
preparations
for
it
are
underway.
Another
reason
why
the
project
was
in
news
was
because
of
involvement
of
veteran
actress
Suhasini
and
Revathi
in
the
team.
The
actress
duo
have
worked
on
script
adaption
for
the
South
Indian
languages.
