By Santhosh Kumar
Crazy Star V Ravichandran's three films were launched on Maha Shivarathri. Out of the three films, Dasharatha's team has started shooting. The shoot began on April 15 and first schedule will end today (April 24). MS Ramesh is directing and producing the flick.
MS Ramesh reveals that the film is a modern take on Ramayana and Ravichandran's character is based on Dasharatha Maharaja. Also the film has characters based on his three wives played by three heroines and daughter played by Meghashree.
Ramesh continues to say that not much has been said about Rama or Seetha side of the story in the film. Director has chosen to illustrate his take on the life of Dasharatha's daughter Shantha and her husband Rishyasringa who had similar struggles like Seetha and Rama.
Sonia Agarwal, who was a part of Kichcha Sudeep's Chandu fifteen years ago, makes comeback to Kannada films with this film. Priyamani who was co-judging the reality show Dancing Star with Ravichandran, will be playing an important role.
Sonia Agarwal character is based on Kausalya and Priyamani plays the slightly negative role modeled on Kaikeyi's character in Ramayana. Other heroine for the character of Sumithra is yet to be selected. Third heroine will be confirmed before the start of second schedule.
This will be an important film for both Ravichandran and MS Ramesh, who have not tasted success for years now. With MS Ramesh being producer as well, he is putting extra efforts to make this film work at box-office. GSV Sitaram is the director of photography.
