Chiranjeevi Sarja Comments On The Arjun-Sruthi Hariharan Row, Backs The 'Action King'
A few days ago, Sruthi Hariharan accused the veteran actor Arjun of sexual misconduct and claimed that he had touched her without her permission while shooting for Nibunan. She had also stated that the star's intentions were 'anything but professional'. As expected, this ruffled a few feathers and created a great deal of buzz in the industry. This revelation also indicated that the #MeToo campaign had hit Sandalwood.
Now, just days after the controversy rocked the Kannada film industry, Arjun's nephew and the noted actor Chiranjeevi Sarja has commented on Sruthi's allegations. During an interaction with TV 5 Kannada, Chiru said that he found the allegations to be shocking, as he knows what type of a person Arjun is in real life. He went on to add that the 'Action King' has been in the industry for over 30 years and indicated that the actress was trying to 'spoil' his image.
Lashing out at Sruthi, the Amma I Love You star said that she did not provide any evidence to back her claims. Chiranjeevi Sarja also asked the Solo star to prove the allegations levelled by her against Arjun. Needless to say, this is a developing situation and it'll be interesting to see what happens next.
In case you did not know as a part of the #MeToo campaign, women are naming and shaming sexual predators. So far, besides Arjun, the likes of Radha Ravi and Vairamuthu have been accused of inappropriate behaviour.
