According to the latest estimates, The Villain collected nearly Rs 18 Crore at the Karnataka box office over its extended 4-day weekend and remained the top pick of the fans. This is an impressive total and indicates that The Villain has connected with the target audience.

The Villain has been released across 1000 screens worldwide and this makes it the biggest Kannada film in the recent times. Given its huge budget and the wide release, The Villain needs to have a long and fruitful run at the box office in order to emerge as a profitable venture. In other words, it cannot afford to slow down in the coming days.

The Mixed WOM Fails To Slow Down The Villain

The general feeling is that The Villain is a decent film that does full justice to Sudeep's abilities as an actor. However, Shivarajkumar fans haven't liked it all that much, as SRK has a relatively smaller role when compared to Deepanna. Moreover, some fans have also pointed out that the screenplay is a bit 'illogical'. As such, the WOM is a bit mixed. However, based on the box office performance, it seems that this did not affect The Villain over the weekend.
