Day
13
Collections
According
to
the
latest
trade
estimates,
The
Villain
collected
nearly
Rs
1.20
Crore
at
the
Karnataka
box
office
on
Tuesday(October
30,
2018)
and
continued
its
impressive
run.
This
is
roughly
the
same
as
it
had
collected
on
Monday(October
29,
2018)
and
this
indicates
that
the
film
is
still
stable
at
the
ticket
window.
The
Next
Few
Days
Are
Important
The
Villain
was
released
across
500
screens
in
Karnataka
in
Week
1
and
this
helped
it
set
a
record
of
sorts.
In
Week
2
too
it
played
on
a
significant
number
of
screens.
Moreover,
it
has
been
shot
against
a
budget
of
Rs
60
Crore
which
is
quite
high
by
Sandalwood
standards.
Given
the
high
bugdet
and
the
wide
release,
The
Villain
cannot
afford
to
slow
down.
It
needs
to
stay
strong
in
Week
3
as
well.
The
WOM
Is
Mixed
The
consensus
is
that
The
Villain
is
a
decent
film
and
it
does
full
justice
to
Deepanna's
on-screen
image.
However,
Shivanna
fans
are
not
too
happy
about
the
film
as
the
'Simple
Ruling
King' has
been
given
less
importance
when
compared
to
Sudeep.
The
screenplay
too
has
been
criticised
for
being
been
bit
difficult
to
follow.
As
such,
the
WOM
is
mixed.
And,
it
this
might
affect
the
film
in
Week
3.
Will
Victory
2
Slow
Down
The
Villain?
The
Sharan
starrer
Victory
2
is
slated
to
hit
the
screens
tomorrow
and
it
might
slow
down
The
Villain
to
a
considerable
extent.
However,
Prem's
film
is
still
likely
to
remain
the
top
choice
of
the
target
audience.
Enough
said!
