The Villain Day 6 Box Office Collections: Sudeep And Shivarajkumar's Film Continues Its Dream Run
It's an open secret that Sudeep is one of the biggest and most revered stars in the Kannada film industry. Fondly referred to as 'Abhinaya Chakravarthy', the versatile actor enjoys a strong fan following thanks to his dashing on-screen image, macho looks and solid performances. A veteran in his own right, he has also won the love of countless movie-goers, as he is a self-made man. At present, Sudeep is in the news because of his latest release The Villain.
The Prem directorial hit the screens on October 18, 2018, and opened to a solid response at the box office. It remained the pick of the fans in the following days and continued raking in the moolah. Here is the latest box office report.
Day 6 Collections
According to the latest trade reports, The Villain stayed strong at the Karnataka box office on Tuesday (October 23, 2018) and collected Rs 3.10 Crore, much to the delight of the fans. Its total collection at the KBO stands at nearly Rs 27 Crore.
A Big Release
The Villain is arguably one of the biggest Kannada films in the recent times. Shot against a budget of approximately Rs 60 Crore, it has been released across nearly 500 screens in Karnataka alone. As such, there is nothing too surprising about these impressive collections. Given its scale, it needs to stay strong for atleast 15 days in order to emerge as a winner.
The WOM Is Mixed
The consensus is that The Villain is a treat for Sudeep's fans, as it features him in an impressive new avatar and gives him ample opportunities to showcase his abilities as an actor. However, at the same time, some fans have pointed out that Shivarajkumar has been given relatively less prominence when compared to 'Deepanna'. As such, the WOM is a bit mixed. It will be worth watching if this affects The Villain in Week 2.

The Villain is likely to stay strong in the coming days, as there is virtually no competition. If the collections stay respectable in Week 2, The Villain might end up becoming a hit. Enough said!
