Yash's action film has bagged the first spot with the highest box office collection of Rs 13.88 crore on the first day. We need to wait and watch if the sequel will break this record.

The word of mouth for Shivrajkumar and Sudeep's Villain didn't do so well. Though the dual starrer movie was expected to do miracles, its charm faded soon following the release. However, Villain managed to collect Rs 9.12 crore on Day 1, putting it second on the list.
Nata Sarvabhouma Loses To Villain
Puneeth Rajkumar and Rachita Ram's Nata Sarvabhouma which released last week, has been performing well in the theaters. Though the film has kept up to the fans' expectation, it did not witness as many full shows. The film only collected a total of Rs 7.9 crore on day 1.
Raajakumara Was A Hit As Well
When Puneeth's action film Raajakumara was released in 2017, the mass went gaga over the film and the songs from the film became the new anthem of the mass. The film did very well in the theatres and collected Rs 7.30 crore on the first day.
Anjaniputra Takes 5th Position
Anjaniputra was another film of Puneeth's that created a lot of buzz in 2017. The film successfully completed 75 days in theatres. As per Karnataka Box Office reports, the movie collected Rs 6.61 crore on the first day.
