Musician Raghu Dixit music is using a tune he composed 25 years ago for an emotional number in Krishna’s Love Mocktail. The song titled Kannahaniyondu has been written by Raghavendra Kamath and sung by Raghu Dixit himself.
The maverick musician has composed five songs and an additional promotional track for the movie’s album. The special rendition has already garnered a lot of praise on social media. Raghu happened to compose the tune 25 years ago and finally found the apt place for it in the movie Love Mocktail.
Raghu said, “This was one of the first tunes I composed when I started playing the guitar and started my musical journey. I never had the opportunity to use this tune. In fact, I had proposed the compositions to a couple of filmmakers, but we could not blend it with the album. They say everything has a time, and this is one example. The situation and this particular song in Love Mocktail go extremely well, so much so that the track will ring in people’s minds even after they exit the theatre.”
Speaking about his upcoming work, the musician-singer added, “I start with Love Mocktail, followed with Ninna Sanihake, and Orchestra, for which I am a part producer, and Garuda among other films. People will get to hear my music for the next seven months.”
Love Mocktail has been produced by Milana Nagaraj. The movie stars Krishna in the lead role. He will also be making his directorial debut with the project. The cast also includes Amrutha Iyengar, Rachana Inder, and Abhilash. The movie is all set to hit the silver screens on January 31.
