After A Roaring Success In India Rishab Shetty's Kantara, A Divine Blockbuster To Release Across Spain & Italy

Kantara is one of the films in 2022 that shook the country. The movie written, enacted, and directed by Rishab Shetty was released in Kannada on September 30, 2022, along with Mani Ratnam's magnum opus film 'Ponniyin Selvan 1.' Kantara was released amid zero buzz but went on to score massive success, critical acclaim, and a whopping money of about Rs 450 Crore.

Kantara, which is currently available on the digital streaming platform Amazon Prime Video, is all set to enthrall the movie-lovers in European countries. According to the latest information, the makers of Kantara, Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films announced that the movie will be released in Spain and Italy very soon. The dubbing works of Kantara in Spanish and Italian are currently underway.

Kantara, which is Kannada for 'Mystical forest' is set in the backdrop of the early 1990s, where villagers, who are given valuable lands to dwell, were suppressed and tricked into returning them. The fight between the landlord and the villagers is depicted as a fight between nature and man's greed using supernatural elements that run deep in the culture and tradition of the northern Kannada region of Tulu Nadu.

Kantara stars Sapthami Gowda as the female lead, in the role of the first female Forest Guard. Actor Kishore as Deputy Range Forest Officer (DRFO) did a commendable job. In addition, the cast includes Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Prakash Thuminad, Naveen D Padil, Manasi Sudhi, Swaraj Shetty, and Shine Shetty among others in crucial characters.

Kantara is cinematographed by Arvind S Kashyap. KM Prakash and Pratheek Sheety edited the movie. B Ajaneesh Loknath composed the film's entire music and soundtrack. The movie was made on a budget of Rs 16 Crore.
