Raj B Shetty's latest action-thriller Toby, in which he played the titular role, hit the screens worldwide on August 25. The movie directed by Basil Alchalakkal was received with great enthusiasm upon its theatrical release.

Toby is based in the Kumta region of Uttara Kannada. Toby is derived from a short story written by TK Dayanand. Raj B Shetty worked on the screenplay carefully by retaining the originality.

Toby Premise

Toby is the story of an estranged mute man, an innocent. He is always put to use to do all the bad work including murders by the village head Ananda. One day, Ananda tries to interfere with Toby's daughter, and he sets out to exact revenge.

Directed by Basil Alchalakkal, Toby's story is written by TK Dayanand. Raj B Shetty himself wrote the screenplay. Ravi Rai Kalasa produced the movie under the Lighter Buddha Films, Coffee Gang Studios, Agastya Films, and Smooth Sailers banners, jointly. Praveen Shriyan cranked the camera, and Nithin Shetty worked as the film's editor. Midhun Mukundan composed the film's entire background score and music.
