Actress Pavitra Gowda Detained By Police In Connection With Renuka Swamy Murder Case

Pavitra Gowda In Police Custody: In a significant development in the Renuka Swamy murder case, police have detained actress Pavitra Gowda. This follows the earlier arrest of prominent Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, widely known as the "Challenging Star," along with nine other individuals.

Pavitra Gowda is currently being questioned in connection with the case. Darshan, whose arrest took place today at a farmhouse in Mysuru, is also reportedly being questioned by the police in the Renuka Swamy murder case.

The victim, identified as S. Renuka Swamy, aged 33 and hailing from Chitradurga, was found dead in the drain in Kamakshipalya, the western part of the city.

Why Is Pavitra Gowda Probed In Renuka Swamy Murder Case?

Reports indicate that Darshan is believed to have been heavily involved in planning the murder, a claim supported by confessions from the nine co-accused detained alongside him. Allegedly, Renuka Swamy was enticed to a shed near Darshan's residence in RR Nagar, where he was brutally tortured to death. This act was purportedly in retaliation for offensive remarks and inappropriate messages aimed at Pavithra Gowda, an actress closely linked to Darshan.

Initially, Renuka Swamy's death appeared to be a suicide when his body was discovered. However, further investigations uncovered signs of foul play, prompting authorities to reclassify the case as a homicide.

Renuka Swamy, who lived in Lakshmi Venkateswara Nagar, Chitradurga, was an assistant at Apollo Medical. His father is employed at Bescom. Swamy was married, and his wife was expecting their child. When he suddenly went missing, his family grew concerned and filed a complaint with the police. This led to a police investigation that eventually uncovered his lifeless body in a drain in Kamakshipalya, a neighbourhood located in western Bangalore. Local residents were the first to discover the body and promptly alerted the authorities.

The murder of Renuka Swamy seems to have been driven by accusations that he sent inappropriate content to Pavithra Gowda, who is closely associated with Darshan. Renuka Swamy was subjected to a fatal assault, leading to his tragic death. His body was subsequently disposed of in a nearby drain.

Enhanced security measures have been implemented at Darshan's home in Bangalore's Rajarajeshwari Nagar, including the placement of barricades, to safeguard his well-being during the unfolding events.
