Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, Others Granted Bail In Murder Case: The Karnataka High Court has granted bail to individuals accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, including the key suspects, Kannada actors Darshan Thoogudeepa and Pavithra Gowda. This decision, reported by Bar and Bench, was made on Friday.
As per the report, Justice S. Vishwajith Shetty also granted bail to five additional individuals involved in the Renukaswamy murder case. The accused include Nagaraju, Anu Kumar, Lakshman, Jagadeesh (alias Jagga), and R. Pradoosh Rao.
Darshan had previously been granted conditional interim bail for six weeks to undergo spine surgery, and he remains out on bail for his ongoing treatment.
Renukaswamy Murder Case
Renukaswamy, a 33-year-old auto driver, was found dead on June 9, 2024, following an alleged attack orchestrated by actor Darshan Thoogudeepa. It is claimed that Darshan instructed his fans to apprehend Renukaswamy after the latter made derogatory remarks about Pavithra Gowda on social media.
Darshan was arrested on June 11, 2024, and, on October 30, Justice Shetty had granted him interim bail for six weeks due to medical reasons. Initially held at Parappana Agrahara Jail in Bengaluru, Darshan was later moved to Ballari Central Jail after a viral photo showed him relaxing with other inmates. Reports indicate that Darshan is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
