Ayyana Mane EXCLUSIVE!: Kushee Ravi On Signing ZEE5's First Original Kannada Web Series

Ayyana Mane: We need to take a moment and laud ZEE5 for bringing an exciting crime thriller for the Kannada audience in the form of Ayyana Mane. The web series starring Kushee Ravi and Akshya Nayak, Manasi Sudhir has managed to earn rave reviews from the viewers, generating amazing viewership within a few days of release. Ensuring that it reaches the masses, ZEE5 released Ayyana Mane with dubbing.
The series focused on the story of a newly married woman who uncovered deep-rooted family secrets after joining her husband's ancestral house. Things took a turn when she discovered an unsettling family history tied to the house. How she navigated through the betrayal and scheming formed the crux of the story.
Featuring six episodes, Ayyana Mane is steadily climbing up the OTT viewership charts. While the numbers are steady in Karnataka, the northern belts are also warming up to the show.
KUSHEE RAVI REVEALS REASON SHE SIGNED AYYANA MANE
When it comes to sparkling on the screen, nobody can beat Kushee. Her power-packed performance in Dia is still fresh in the minds of the audience. I am sincerely apologetic for not watching Dia when it released in 2020. Before binge-watching Ayyana Mane, I decided to explore the film so that I could get to know Kushee's acting better.
Man, oh Man! Kushee is such a firecracker. She knows how to command her presence and spread her magic like a charm. Something similar happened in Ayyana Mane. Her performance as Jaji resonated well with the audience.
When asked if she took her own sweet time in saying yes to the project, Kushee quipped, "No, the web series and the role attracted me. Jaji's role was so meaty that it offered me a wide range of emotions that I could showcase as an artist. When someone like Ramesh Indira is helming the project, how can I say no to it? I first thought that it was a film; later, I was told that it will be a 6-episode web series, a first of its kind on ZEE5."
KUSHEE RAVI ON HER BOLLYWOOD PLANS
We all can vouch that Kushee is not only a terrific performer but also lightens up the screen with her presence. Having showcased her talent in Kannada and Telugu films, the Spooky College actress is now willing to do Bollywood movies, if offered the right project.
"I am very keen to do a sports drama like Chak De India, Bigil or Dangal. Sports films always excited me as they offer something new on the platter and also, allow the artist to explore themselves through character. I haven't been offered Bollywood movies yet but never, say never. If I am approached for a solid flick, I won't say no. I can easily learn the lines (laughs)," Kushee told Filmibeat.
Ayyana Mane is available for streaming only on ZEE5.
