According to box office tracker Karnataka Talkies, Empuraan has registered a historic opening at the Karnataka box office. The Malayalam action thriller grossed an impressive ₹3.8 crore on Day 1, marking the biggest-ever opening for a Malayalam film in the state. The film drew nearly 1.5 lakh footfalls on its first day, making it the highest single-day footfall of 2025 so far. In Mangaluru city, Empuraan shattered multiple records, including the all-time highest Day 1 show count with 97 shows, surpassing even Kantara's Day 17 show count. It also recorded the highest opening day footfalls in Mangaluru, beating the previous record held by KGF Chapter 2. Additionally, Empuraan became the second highest pre-booked film ever in the city, next only to KGF Chapter 2.
