Madenur Manu Controversy: Kannada Actor/Comedian Arrested For R*Ping Young Actress On Pretext Of Marriage
According to Asianetnews, Kannada actor Madenur Manu, who is gearing up for the big release of his next 'Kuladalli Keelyavudo' tomorrow (May 23, 2025), is now behind bars. Reportedly, a young actress, who he met during his stint on the comedy reality show 'Comedy Khiladigalu Season 2', filed an FIR against him at the Annapoorneshwari police station on the charges of cheating on her and having a physical relationship with her on the pretext of marriage.
As claimed by the actress, the two had met in 2018 and in November 2022, Madenur took her to a hotel and allegedly r*ped her. Reportedly, they had gone to Shikaripura for a comedy show during that time.
According to a News18 report, the actress claimed in her complaint that Manu had called her into his hotel room on the pretext of giving her money and r*ped her. Later, when she became pregnant he'd allegedly given her an abortion pill. Again when she got pregnant for the second time, the Kollywood actor forced her again to get an abortion. The victim further claimed that Manu had recorded a n*de video of her on his phone.
As per the same Asianet report, the victim's complaint read, "I had previously lived in Banashankari 3rd Phase, Kamakya, Bangalore for about 5 years. The said Nagarabhavi rented house was found by Madenoor Manu himself. In 2018, I met Madenoor Manu on Zee Kannada Channel's comedy show Khiladi and we became friends. The said Madenoor Manu is already married to Divya and they have a daughter. On 29-11-2022, there was a program in Shikaripura, Shivamogga, and he took me and other comedy actors to the said program and performed a comedy program there. After this program, when I was in a hotel room in Shikaripura, he came to my room on the pretext of giving me a salary and raped me. After this, in December 2022, he came to my house and tied me up despite my resistance.
Later, Manu raped me several times in the same house. In the meantime, I got pregnant, and Manu came to my house and gave me abortion pills and had me aborted. After this, I got pregnant again and he had me aborted again in the same way. Then Manu rented me the above house and raped me in this house too, recorded my private video on his phone, beat me and assaulted me and threatened me not to tell anyone about this matter. He agreed to do a movie as a lead actor, for which I had given Manu about lakhs of rupees. Therefore, he raped me in this way, acted like he was married, had me aborted and cheated me without getting married, and on hearing this, I filed a complaint for appropriate legal action against Madenur Manu, who attacked me and threatened my life. (sic)"

Earlier today (Thursday, May 22), Kannada actor Madenur Manu, who was crowned the winner of the reality show 'Comedy Khiladigalu 2', posted a promotional interview of his 'Kuladalli Keelyavudo' on his Instagram amid the r*pe controversy.
he is quite active on Instagram and has 96.1k followers on the said social media app. While there is not much information about his personal life available on the internet, an Asianet report claims that Manu is already married and has a child. He also featured in two Kannada films 'Kedarnath Kuri Farm' and 'Santosha Sangeetha'.
Meanwhile, any update on his age is not available on the internet.
